Will I Need To Buy Anything Else?
Like any other hobby or passion, there will be some costs involved (other than the lesson fees). Because I use handouts that I have created in my Melbourne guitar teaching, there aren't many things that you need to buy. With that said, here are a few things that you will need to buy in order to take guitar lessons in Melbourne from me…
Item #1: A Metronome
This is an absolutely essential piece of equipment for any serious guitar student. It will really help you to maximise your rate of progress. To learn more about why you'll need to buy and use a metronome, please read the following page…
Item #2: A Blank Exercise Book
You'll use this to write down what you practice each day. I call this a "practice journal", and you'll find it a valuable tool for keeping track of your practice habits and progress.
Item #3: A Folder
You'll use this to organise and store the handouts that I give you during your guitar lessons.
Possible Items: Recommended Guitar Books And Other Resources
I have a pretty large guitar book collection, and have also come across some amazing educational resources over the years. So sometimes I may recommend a book or other resource to you. These will always be things that I feel will really help you achieve your musical goals. They might include things like…
- Guitar instructional books that complement the handouts I give you.
- Backing Track CDs.
Because I don't know your musical goals yet, I can't be more specific. But I will only recommend a book or resource if I think it will you a LOT. And of course, buying a particular book or resource is totally optional. (Although most of my students do usually end up wanting to buy what I recommend to them).
